Summer is in full swing! And, despite the desire many of us have for that bikini bod, there seem to be endless opportunities for cheat day snacking and indulgence. We’re talkin’ summertime staples like frozen treats, BBQ, and more. But it doesn’t end there – National French Fry Day is officially here and we want you to celebrate it in style! Whether you prefer just a classic fry and ketchup, or a full plate smothered in meats, cheeses and sauces, Newport Beach has got you covered. And, whether you make them your main dish, or just a side, you really can’t go wrong. After all… French Fries are the perfect compliment to any meal. No matter what, here are some fries not to be missed here in Newport Beach…

Their Onion Strings and classic Shoe String Fries are perfectly crisp, not to mention the lengthy list of housemade dipping sauces there are to choose from. Now, go get down on some strings!

If you like your fries gourmet, rich, and decadent, dive into their Duck Fat Fries with truffle oil. They’re well-seasoned, not overly-fried, and a lil’ fancy. If you’re feeling like you should try and stick to your healthy ways, their Grilled Green Bean Fries with olive tapenade are extremely flavorful, and probably some of the most unique ‘Fries’ you can find in Newport.

Juliette Kitchen & Bar – If you’re searching for a true, classic, and truly French serving of fries, Juliette Kitchen & Bar is the ideal spot. Grab a drink, and snack away on their simple yet delicious classic French Fries. They’re fresh cut and pair perfectly with their Harissa Aioli and housemade ketchup.

These guys focus on sustainability and freshness when it comes to their fish, and present us with massive bold flavors in all their menu items. Their Chowder Fries are no exception – they take their all natural and fresh cut fries, and smother them in their creamy clam chowder and bacon. They’re so satisfying you might not come up for air after your first bite.

Bosscat Kitchen & Libations – Fries are so much more than just a side at Bosscat Kitchen + Libations – they’re practically a way of life. They way they do their French Fries is a perfect representation of the heart and soul behind this comfort food focused eatery. We’re talkin’ Poutine people… Pork Belly Poutine. The ultimate cheesy, creamy, flavorful version of fries, not to mention the fact that they top this dish with a duck fat fried egg. Yep, it’s extreme, but definitely not to be missed.

Their Sweet Potato Fries are topped with Cojita Cheese and housemade Chipotle Ketchup, and absolutely delectable. Well seasoned and perfectly crisp, with just that hint of sweet richness we all know and love about sweet potatoes.

Hopdoddy Burger – Parmesan perfection! If you’re a fan of your fries dusted in seasonings and fresh parmesan, Hopdoddy is delivering. Their Parmesan Truffle Fries are endlessly satisfying – not too heavy, but ideally rich and indulgent. Pair them with one of their signature burgers or just a few craft beers and dive into french fry bliss.

If you want fries with a Caribbean flare, snag a plate of these bad boys – they’re topped with succulent jerk chicken made with authentic Jamaican jerk sauce and smothered with gooey cheddar cheese and cilantro. Think steak fries, but more flavorful and with a hint of heat. Fair warning – you might not put your fork down.
