Located right on the sand at Newport Beach, Balboa Inn is convenient for long, romantic strolls on the boardwalk with your pup! Pets (maximum 75 lbs) are allowed at the Balboa Inn with a first night fee of $50 and a $25 fee each consecutive night after that.

Renaissance Newport Beach Hotel

The newly-remodeled Renaissance Newport Beach Hotel, with a pet-friendly staff, is perfect for a family-friendly escape including little Fido! The hotel welcomes up to two pets (maximum 50 pounds) per room for an additional fee of $150 per pet, per stay. The property offers a pet relief area with a convenient waste station.

Hyatt Regency Newport Beach

Less than a mile from Fashion Island, the Hyatt Regency Newport Beach offers 26 acres of sprawling, beautiful property to roam around. The hotel welcomes up to two traveling canine companions (maximum 50 pounds, or combined weight of 75 pounds for two dogs) for a non-refundable $150 fee for stays less than six days. Longer-term stays will require an additional deep cleaning fee. Amenities include treats, pet beds, and a set of bowls.

Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort & Marina

Looking for an adventure-filled stay? Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort & Marina offers a multitude of family-friendly activities right along the scenic Back Bay. Up to two pets are allowed for a small fee of $2 per day, $10 per week, or $30 a month. An off-leash dog run is located on the property for your furry friend to run around freely!

The Resort at Pelican Hill

Relax and stay at the luxurious Resort at Pelican Hill with your pup! The property welcomes up to two dogs for an additional fee. Pets aren’t allowed on Newport beaches during peak hours, but you can take your leashed dog onto the beach before 9 a.m. and after 5 p.m. As always, ensure your dog remains on a leash when required and you are properly ridding of their waste.

Castaways Park

This leisurely walking trail offers breathtaking views of Newport Back Bay and Newport Harbor from above. Grab your pooch and wind down your day with a sunset walk along the paved path, admiring native plant communities and enjoying the ocean views and breeze. If you are looking for a longer trek, the Back Bay Loop Trail is a 10-mile trail that loops around the bay.

Inspiration Point

Along the shores of Corona del Mar State Beach is a pet-friendly park called Inspiration Point. It is a popular spot to see the Pacific Ocean in all its glory. Upper Bay Trail

Beginning at the intersection of Irvine Ave. and Santiago Dr. and ending at Bayview Way and Jamboree Rd., the Upper Bay Trail is an asphalt path that lends itself to a variety of activities. Whether you’re walking, biking, or even inline skating, you’ll love the views of the Upper Newport Bay Nature Preserve on this 3.5-mile trail. Other perks of the paved trail include wheelchair accessibility and pet-friendly parks along the way.
