Nixon Tanuwidjaja has spent his life pursuing his passion for uniquedelicious meals. Working full time in a restaurant while he put himself through college, Nixon realized how much he enjoyed the hospitality industry and began his pursuit to own his own restaurant concept.
Directing operations for four Japanese restaurants in Los Angeles gave Nixon two life changing experiences, an appreciation of the delicate nuances of Asian Cuisine and an introduction to Ovita who would soon become his wife and partner. The opportunity to move to Hawaii, allowed Nixon and Ovita to experience the Aloha of Hawaiian cooking that infuses Hawaiian and Asian influences into their favorite meal of the day – breakfast.
Armed with their recipe for the delicious Banana Macadamia Nut Pancakes, authentic Hawaiian Loco Moco, and their famous Coconut Syrup, Nixon and Ovita decided to return home to Southern California and pursue their dream to own their own restaurant.
Drawing on their new found knowledge, Nixon and Ovita have created a melting pot of influences adding items such as savory Korean Kalbi Ribs, Japanese Fried Rice Omelets, delicate French Crepes, and Belgian Waffles to a menu that offers traditional favorites like Eggs Benedict, Chorizo and Eggs, and creative specialty Omelets.
Helmsman Ale House is an independently owned and operated brewery and kitchen in Newport Beach, California. With Head Brewer, Dylan Mobley at the helm, we’re also the only craft brewery in the city, brewing daily within our 15-barrel exhibition brewhouse.

Bacio di Latte was born in 2011 from Edoardo and Luigi’s passion for Gelato, and their desire to share it with the rest of the world.
Freshness – We produce our gelato everyday in every single shop.
Milk – Probably the most important ingredient, we source the best organic milk and cream from the Spoletta ranch up in Sonoma, CA.
Raw materials – We try to source the best raw materials from the best producers around the world, like our chocolate from Belgium and Italy, our pistachio from Sicily and our hazelnut from Piedmont.
Fruit – The biggest challenge for a chef is to not spoil the raw material inside a recipe, that’s why we only use water and a very high % of the best possible fruit for our sorbet recipes. We want our fruit to scream out loud! We source all the fruits locally by producers with the highest commitment to quality.

Dolf thoroughly searched throughout the world to locate the finest cocoa, marzipan, fruits, nuts, and other ingredients and after years of experimenting, skillfully blended these into his now famous recipes.
Our kitchens in Zürich today make more than a hundred varieties of chocolates using these original recipes which have now passed from father to son. In the tradition, the world’s finest and most expensive natural ingredients are blended together using absolutely no chemicals, additives, or preservatives.
Our simple and humble beginnings are rooted in service and quality. We look to deliver a high level of customer service while equally delivering a high level of quality food cooked to order. Affordability is also a paramount aspect of our restaurant and cooking from scratch allows us to deliver high-quality food at fast food prices. Using simple and locally sourced ingredients completes our recipe to “delicious”.
