Quick Bites Between Black Friday Shopping in Newport Beach

It’s hard to believe it’s Thanksgiving already! In addition to enjoying the annual feast of turkey and stuffing, Thanksgiving also serves as the unofficial holiday known as “Black Friday Eve.” If you’re planning to explore Newport Beach for must-have deals this Friday, you’ll need some nourishment to keep your energy up. Here are a few great options to grab a quick bite in between Black Friday shopping.

Another great café option is Café Gratitude. This plant-based restaurant specializes in gourmet cuisines. Despite being 100% organic, the meals are incredibly flavorful and delicious. They encourage positive vibes by asking, “what are you grateful for?” on their plates and naming all their dishes after affirmations. With the stress that can come from running around on Black Friday, this is a nice reprieve!

Java Bakery Cafe is another great choice for a morning treat. With more than 15 sweet and savory waffles, this is perfect if you’re seeking either traditional breakfast fare or more of a dessert-type option. Popular items include the gingerbread or pumpkin spice waffles, or the red velvet with cream cheese frosting. I recommend the liege waffle with mixed berries!

If you want a meal with a view while shopping at Lido Marina Village, head down toward the peninsula and try Lido Bottle Works. This waterfront restaurant serves numerous seafood and other distinct menu options. I recently tried the cauliflower and tuna tartare, which were both excellent. The cauliflower is surprisingly filling and its accoutrements almost give it dessert flavors.

Of course, if you’re at our near Fashion Island, they have an eclectic variety of eateries perfect for a quick bite. No matter where your Black Friday shopping takes you, there is a great assortment of dining options to suit your cravings!
