5 Things to Look Forward to This Spring
Spring has officially sprung! The days are longer, the weather is heating up and the wildflowers are beginning to bloom, and if that doesn’t lighten your mood, we don’t know what does. There’s so much to look forward to this season—from seasonal spa offerings to new restaurants and shops opening their doors. And whether you’re a Newport Beach local or plan to visit, you’ll want to mark your calendar! We’ve rounded up five exciting things to look forward to this spring in our coastal enclave of Orange County.
The Newport Beach International Boat Show
The Newport Beach International Boat Show (NBIBS) is back! Gear up for four days of live entertainment, exciting activations and stunning yachts from the best builders and brokers in the business. This beloved event offers a unique experience that perfectly captures the essence of Newport Beach’s chic and luxurious lifestyle. The NBIBS is the ultimate playground for seafarers, with both on-land and on-water areas to explore. Navigate your way through the trendy boutiques, sponsored lounges and mouth-watering restaurants in our city by the sea! This event runs from April 27-30; to purchase tickets, click here.
Seasonal Spa Packages
Spring is in full swing, and there’s no better time for a little R&R. Show your mind, body and soul some love this season with a seasonal wellness experience at one of Newport Beach’s top-tier hotels. SPA VEA at VEA Newport Beach is offering a 50-minute Sea of Life Facial and a 50-minute Rhythmic Relaxation Full Body Massage this spring, while The Spa at Pelican Hill is featuring a Knesko Gemstone-Infused Facial. We also love A Little Touch of Heaven’s Spring Cleaning Facial, which includes a cleanse, microdermabrasion, extractions and a vitamin-infused oxygen wrap.
Things are bloomin’ in Newport Beach, and if you’re in search of wildflowers, we know exactly where to go! The Back Bay is known for its scenic views and wildlife, but during the spring, you can expect to see pockets of wildflowers, especially along the Back Bay Loop Trail. If you’re feeling extra adventurous, make the trek south down to Crystal Cove State Park, where you’ll discover plenty of places to see these yellow beauties in bloom. El Moro Canyon and the Crystal Cove Double Loop are both great trails for floral-seekers. Check out our full list of where to see wildflowers in Newport Beach here!
New Stores at Fashion Island
The shopping mecca of Newport Beach, Fashion Island sits in the heart of our city, boasting an assortment of name-brand stores and locally owned boutiques. And this year, the center has welcomed several new shops, including luxury jeweler Lugano Diamonds, loungewear brand JJwinks and Australian designer menswear label Joe Bananas. Fashion Island even received a new restaurant this year: JOEY Newport Beach! Come do some spring shopping and enjoy a meal fireside at this chic foodie hotspot.
Spring Celebration at Roger’s Gardens
Spring has sprung at Roger’s Gardens in Corona del Mar, and their Spring Celebration, running from March 25-April 30, is the best way to welcome the season!
