All Inclusive Venues Along the Newport Beach, CA Coast

February 15, 2017

A destination filled with variety, Newport Beach is a bit of bohemia mixed with a whole lot of chic! From contemporary to historical, regal to rustic, Newport Beach offers numerous venue options perfect for group meetings and events. For those planners looking to streamline the planning process, we’ve compiled a list of the all-inclusive venues along the Newport Beach, CA coast.

Enjoy all-inclusive venues on the water with private luxury yachts

One of the most beautiful harbors on the west coast, Newport Harbor spans three miles to the Pacific Ocean, is dotted with seven islands and lined with magnificent estates, making it ideal for a private meeting or event. While there are several yacht charter companies in the destination, the two most recommended due to their service level and ability to accommodate corporate events are Hornblower Cruises and Events and Pacific Avalon Yacht Charters.

Hornblower – The Hornblower fleet consists of six different luxury ships, including perhaps their most famous vessel, Wild Goose. Once the private luxury yacht of actor John Wayne, the ship was frequented by Wayne’s Rat Pack buddies including Joey Bishop, Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra – a true iconic treasure!

Pacific Avalon – This private luxury yacht company has two vessels both of which cater to corporate events, private dinners, and meetings. Pacific Avalon’s luxury yachts are privately owned and operated and can accommodate groups up to 150. Both yachts feature wide staircases, high ceilings, stylish leather lounge furniture, spacious decks, built in bars and stainless steel galleys.

Organizing a great yacht event can be fairly straightforward since a majority of necessary items are included in the yacht rental fee. Both Hornblower and Pacific Avalon yachts offer rates which can include décor, sound system, tables, dance floors, entertainment, set up, wait staff, insurance, tax, and the menu if you choose to have the yacht company handle the catering. Groups hesitant to go off-property due to an F&B minimum are in luck, Pacific Avalon allows outside caterers, good news as most Newport Beach hotels do offer off-site catering.

All-inclusive historic venues along the Newport Beach coast

New Port Theater – With its art-deco vibe, versatile layout and high-tech audio/visual capabilities, the Port Theater is the perfect place to host your next event. A venue rich with history, the Port Theater has been around longer than some of Newport Beach’s famous attractions. Through the years, the Port Theater has undergone several changes but after reopening in 2007, the vibrant setting continues to excite local residents and the community in general. This historic venue can accommodate 225 guests for a seated dinner and up to 500 for a reception. Port Theater is perfect for presentations, product rollouts, or private screenings and can handle all catering, décor rentals, set-up and strike.

Sherman Gardens – Sherman Library & Gardens sits on a rare two-acres in the heart of Corona del Mar (a neighborhood within Newport Beach). Immaculate botanical gardens feature a range of foliage from desert cacti to tropical florals. Numerous brick patios connect to blooming flowerbeds and fountains, creating a tranquil backdrop for private events. In addition, Sherman Library & Gardens also has an onsite restaurant Café Jardin, which also provides all catering and event set-ups for groups.

All-inclusive venues with views and space

Crystal Cove State Beach – Stretching along three-miles of uninterrupted Pacific coastline sits one of the most picturesque beaches in the area, Crystal Cove State Beach. Once a secret spot for locals who either accessed it by scaling coastal bluffs or from the stables that once sat along this portion of Pacific Coast Highway, Crystal Cove is now a historic site. The sleepy little beach cottages dotting the bluffs are protected by the state of California. The most famous of these historic landmarks is the “Beaches” cottage appropriately named, as it was the site of the Bette Midler movie, Beaches, along with a host of other films over the years.

Crystal Cove is the place for a classic beach party. Try a casual clambake, or a formal wine pairing dinner; add some great music and exhilarating ocean views and you have the makings of an outstanding Newport Beach event. An on-site catering and event team can handle all the details making a private beach party at Crystal Cove another all-inclusive venue option.

Newport Dunes – Newport Dunes sits alongside a calm, crescent shaped bay perfect for an afternoon of beach activities and an evening of casual beach side fun! Think casual Pacific luau with pulled pork sliders and mai tais, a fiesta with mariachis, margaritas and ahi tacos. Or step things up a bit with a sophisticated Hamptons’ style event with cracked crab and chilled wine, steamed lobster or sushi platters. The area has plenty of outdoor space for larger groups along with a 14,000 square foot pavilion ideal for large-scale meetings, trade-shows, product unveilings and corporate gatherings.

Marina Park – Located on over ten acres of land running alongside Newport Harbor sits the newly established event center, Marina Park. This year-old facility offers fantastic views of the harbor. With floor to ceiling accordion windows, a wrap around balcony and a variety of event spaces, this venue is ideal for meetings, larger events and even intimate gatherings. Marina Park also has plenty of dock space for those groups who wish to arrive via boat. From small to large spaces, indoor rooms or outdoor areas, and an on-site catering and event team, Marina Park can host private meetings and events of any size.

Locating a venue that has all the offerings to deliver an impressive meeting experience will certainly put your mind at ease but it’s only half of the selection process. The other half is finding the best fit for your group and determining the experiences that will create a memorable program. Who better to assist than your local experts!
