Chances are you’ve seen the sign as you’re driving through Corona Del Mar on the Pacific Coast Highway, but have you ever been inside? If you’re like me, you’ve always wondered what lies behind the high brick walls, but never had an excuse to explore the mysterious gardens… until now!

Sherman Library & Gardens has been in their coveted Corona Del Mar location since 1966. Beyond hosting weddings and events, they have a picturesque cafe “Cafe Jardin”, a historical research library, the Garden Shop, and a lush array of gardens, patios, and conservatories. There are over 1,000 different plant species in the garden, and numerous alluring collections, from orchids and roses, to succulents and ferns! There’s even a flourishing tropical conservatory, complete with a koi pond and a couple of resident turtles! The gardens are open daily, from 10:30am to 4pm, and adult admission is only $5! What better way to spend a sunny spring day? But wait… there’s more!
