New Year’s Resolutions in Newport Beach for all Seasons

January 1, 2014

It is the first of the year, and for some, it’s the time to reflect on the past year and start anew with a fresh set of goals.

We put our resolutions for the year in place, full of enthusiasm and hope but, unfortunately we oftentimes run out of steam before Valentine’s Day.

With that in mind, we decided to space out resolutions, one for each season of the year! That way there will be something to look forward to each couple of months, and the pressure to accomplish goals is less daunting.

Without further adieu, here are our top 4 New Years Resolution’s you can do during each season of the year, here in Newport Beach!

WINTER: Relax

We are all guilty of being on the “go” constantly with little time for rest. This year during the winter season, take a little time off, take care of yourself and recharge those batteries.

The spas of Newport Beach offer laid back luxury and sumptuous soothing for the ultimate in health, wellness and pampering.

There’s something about a few hours (or even days!) spent in the comfortable confines of a resort or day spa that will leave you feeling rejuvenated. With sparkling pools, lavish lounges and skilled therapists, the top spas in Newport Beach offer a world-class level of luxury and relaxation.

Here is a suggestion:

Pure Blu: Pure Blu is spa nirvana; don’t miss the seashell massages, where the masseuse incorporates warm oil drizzled from tiger conch shells. Or try the Bamboo Lime Massage, where the therapist kneads tension out with heated bamboo sticks.

SPRING: Get Fit

After a season of relaxing, it’s time to come out of winter hibernation and get moving. The sun will be out longer and it will be the perfect time to get outside, enjoy the fresh air and beautiful weather.

In Newport Beach, we like all of our workouts outdoors, that way we can see our stunning surroundings as we get fit!

With Newport Beach offering the most outdoor water recreation space in all of Orange County, activities utilizing our distinct waterways are endless!

Not to worry, here is a place for an outdoor work out with water views:

Crystal Cove State Park: We will let you in on a secret; Newport Beach is home to a beautiful natural wilderness with over 17 miles of hiking trails and many with ocean views. Head to south Newport Beach and check out the trails of Crystal Cove State Park. There you will find 2,400 acres of undeveloped woodland and will see native plants and animals.

SUMMER: Spend more time with family and friends

What a better way to strengthen bonds, then to go on a trip with loved ones. Whether you are traveling with a group of girlfriends or the guys with the family or taking the entire extended family, Newport Beach will be a stunning background to create memories!

Not sure of the best way to spend time together? Here is one group activity for all ages in the summer:

Hit the Sand: No trip to Newport Beach in the summer would be complete without a day at the beach. And Newport Beach has it all: stretches of smooth sand that are bastions of beach culture, surf breaks that draw wave riders from around the world and pristine rocky coves sheltering lush undersea environments.

FALL: Try Something New

Indian summer is a phenomenal time to come to Newport Beach and try a new hobby or a once-in-a-life time adventure experience!

Here is 1 new thing to try here in Newport Beach!
