Organic Soil Health - The Soil Food Web
Corey Welles will describe the new focus of sustainable horticulture, which emphasizes building the ecology of the entire garden - starting with the soil, and extending all the way up the food chain. He will discuss soil amendments, organic fertilizers, insects, rodents, birds, and other critters. By the end of his talk, he is hoping that you will consider measuring the health of your garden not just by the size of the flowers, but by the diversity of crawling and flying critters you encounter while gardening.
