LUNAFEST® is a film festival dedicated to promoting awareness about women’s issues, highlighting women filmmakers, and bringing women together in their communities. This unique film festival highlights women as leaders in society, illustrated through six short films by women filmmakers. The films range from animation to fictional drama, and cover topics such as women’s health, motherhood, body image, aging, cultural diversity, and breaking barriers.
After the matinee screening, guests are invited to hear more about the film making process with a Question & Answer seminar with filmmaker Anna Schumacher, Director of Festival Film “Finding June”. JLOCC will be hosting the LUNAFEST film festival April 2, 2016! Proceeds from this event will benefit the Junior League of Orange County, California, Inc. and the Breast Cancer Fund.
JLOCC LUNAFEST 2016 will also include an Old Hollywood premiere party. This red carpet event will include food, drinks, silent auction, prizes, entertainment and a VIP Speakeasy following the Saturday evening showing. All guests are encouraged to dress in their best “Old Hollywood” attire for the party.
