Sherman Library & Gardens is pleased to announce the 2nd annual Begonia Days “Begonias of Southern California”, Saturday & Sunday September 6th & 7th , 10:30am – 4 pm, sponsored by the Southern California Branches of the American Begonia Society.

This family friendly event will include the begonia show, a juried competition for begonia enthusiasts and amateur, fun and informative talks on how to grow and care for begonias, a begonia sale featuring unique and hard to find begonias, and docent led tours of Sherman Gardens Begonia Collection featuring 115 unique varieties of begonias (the best begonia collection in Southern California!), interactive activities for kids such as potting up begonia cuttings to take home and grow, a community art project which includes coloring & designing a paper begonia to plant in our community begonia pot.
The Tea Garden Creperie will be serving delicious crepes, pastries and offering a endless champagne special.

To enter a begonia in the show bring it labeled with entrants name and any information on the species and variety of begonia to Sherman Gardens on Friday, September 5th from 2pm to 5pm; or Saturday from 8am and 9:30am.
10:30 am ∼ Admission Opens ($3 admission fee – kids under 12 free!)
11 am to 3 pm ∼ Activities:
• Pot up begonia cuttings
• Docent led tours of Sherman Gardens Begonia Collection
• Color, cut & plant community art project
• Carnivorous plant bean bag toss
• Free kids raffle
11 am to 2:30 pm ∼ Tea Garden Creperie Open
11:30 am and 2 pm ∼ Begonia Lectures
