Tomorrow, May 22 at 10:30 am, join Tina Pomroy on the launch of the “The Kindness Rocks Project” in Balboa Island. She’ll be reading a wonderful book titled “Petra” about a small pebble who thinks she’s a mountain! They will have a few samples for the children to hopefully inspire their own Rocks and they will journey outside to hide our first messages on the island.
They invite you to stop by for Storytime or even sometime during the day or this week to celebrate their project. As we have little room to paint the rocks in the store the children will take home their rocks and paint supplies and instructions for their family participation!
A little info on the “The Kindness Rocks Project”, it originated in Cape Cod by Megan Murphy on the “profound truth that one message at the right moment can change someone’s day, their outlook, and indeed their whole life.” (From A Pebble for your Thoughts by Megan Murphy) The Project is now worldwide!
