Experience an Intimate Night of Fine Dining and Live Music at the Hyatt Regency Newport Beach Summer Concert Series

For concert-goers with quintessential taste and seekers of only the highest entertainment, the time has come to rejoice, as ahead awaits an entire season of magical evenings in one of So Cal’s finest beach cities. This summer, enliven your Friday nights and experience the essence of Newport Beach at the annual Hyatt Regency Newport Beach Summer Concert Series.

Returning for the seventh time this July, the beautiful Back Bay Amphitheatre to celebrates summer with a one-of-a-kind musical and dining experience. Featuring intimate performances by eclectic jazz ensembles, acclaimed singer-songwriters and world-class musicians, the concert series is an essential summer attraction for locals and visitors.

Since first launching the event in 2012, the Hyatt Regency has hosted a myriad of popular performers ranging from blue-eyed soul legend, Michael McDonald, to rockabilly revivalist, Chris Isaak, to R&B/jazz staples, George Benson and Kenny G. This summer’s lineup once again welcomes a blend of classic and contemporary jazz artists, also including shows by some of the most admired vocalists of the past half-century.

The concert series kicks off on July 13 with a special two-act performance featuring Spyro Gyra and The Rippingtons, both of which are among the most commercially successful pop-jazz groups of the last 30 years. Among other jazz extraordinaires taking the Back Bay stage are revered trumpeter Chris Botti, and composer and multi-instrumentalist, Brian Culbertson.

For fans looking to sing their hearts out, August is packed with performances by universally celebrated pop stars. On August 3, attendees can get up close and personal with multi-platinum selling singer and award-winning songwriter LeeAnn Rimes and on August 10, soft-rock virtuoso and longtime Chicago frontman, Peter Cetera. To cap off the month, funk queen and ten-time Grammy Award winner, Chaka Khan, is slated for August 24.

Other notable dates in the Summer Concert Series include saxophonist Dave Koz and his band on September 14 and influential Brazilian composer and three-time Grammy Award winner, Sergio Mendes on October 5.

In addition to the unique musical performances, guests will be able to soak in beautiful coastal scenery, indulge in mouthwatering cuisine from SHOR – the Hyatt Regency’s signature restaurant – and enjoy a luxurious atmosphere with incredible hospitality and service.
