ORANGE COUNTY’S PREMIER GOLF EVENT: THE HOAG CLASSIC 2020

FRIDAY’S CORPORATE KICK-OFF
Take TGIF to the next level by attending the kick-off to the Hoag Classic Championship Weekend on Friday, March 6th. Corporate Day, sponsored by City National Bank, represents the perfect place to do some professional networking while catching up with your clients and colleagues. Soak up a little Newport Beach sun and the country club’s iconic landscapes while checking out one of the best fields on the PGA TOUR Champions. Watch the first highly anticipated round of competition. Then, when play ends, chill out to live tunes presented by the John Wayne Airport. And don’t forget to leave a little room for tasty California-style hors d’oeuvres and libations.
SATURDAY’S SALUTE TO THE ARMED FORCES
The Hoag Classic has a long-standing tradition of saluting those who risk the most to keep our country safe. Saturday, March 7th marks Military Appreciation Day, sponsored by CoreLogic. Take this chance to come out and show your support for the brave men and women who serve in our Armed Forces while enjoying another exhilarating day of play.
Complimentary admission with food and beverages will be provided for all members of the military (active, veterans, retired, and reserve) and up to three of their guests. (Use this military verification form to find out more and claim your tickets.)
Continuing their tradition of charitable contributions to military organizations, they will donate close to $50,000 to military causes including the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation, the Navy Memorial Foundation and the Blue Angels Foundation.
SUNDAY’S STUDENT DAY
All of the excitement of the Hoag Classic builds to its monumental conclusion scheduled for Sunday, March 8th. Event organizers invite all parents and grandparents to head out with their kids and grandkids to catch a piece of the action. Students ages 18 and younger will receive complimentary admission to the Classic’s fifth annual Student Day presented by Kingston Technology.
Besides watching internationally-renowned golf legends take the field for the final day of competition, don’t miss out on family-friendly events that’ll get the whole family enthused about golf.
The Kids Fun Zone will offer a variety of fun activities starting at 10 am. For youth athletes in middle school or high school, don’t miss out on the junior golfer putting contest that begins at 1 pm. Get more information and check in behind the 18th green at the Victory Lounge.

March 6th through 8th, the Newport Beach Country Club opens its gates at 8 am. Approximately 70,000 guests are expected, so arrive early to secure the perfect viewing spot. Play is scheduled from 10 am to 12:30 pm each day although finish times will vary depending on each day’s progress.
The Hoag Classic raises millions of dollars each year for a variety of charitable organizations. In fact, since its inception, the event has raised more than $20 million making it the most heavily supported event on the PGA TOUR Champions.
