Jazz aficionados are anxiously anticipating this upcoming annual event here in Newport Beach. Jazz music will fill the air both day and evenings during the 16th Annual Newport Beach Jazz Party (February 11-14, 2016). This year offers an added bonus, since the event falls on both Valentine’s and Presidents’ Weekend. So join this four-day musical soirée at the Newport Beach Marriott Hotel & Spa at Fashion Island.
Jazz music has this way of captivating its audience with the rhythm of harmonious sounds and a broad range of instruments. Those blue notes, solos, “call-and response” patterns, and improvisation of melody all characterize jazz music.
It tells life’s stories in a soulful way that just draws its listeners in. Imagine 30 concerts with reserved seating in one of two ballrooms and the restaurant, poolside sessions (with open seating), two jazz brunches, and a Valentine’s Dinner & Show as well. This is four days jam-packed with some of the best jazz talent–from vocalists to big bands, piano soloists to bass and guitar. This is a spectacular selection of artists and is a “not to be missed” event.
Guests can select from an array of options–either purchasing a Weekend Jazz Package, or individual tickets for an Evening Show, a Saturday or Sunday Champagne Brunch, an outdoor Poolside Session, or a romance-infused evening of Dinner and a Show on Valentine’s night. The Saturday Brunch will feature nine different artists, and the Sunday Brunch will showcase a Gospel and Jazz Trio, as well as other artists. Guest room accommodations are also available at the hotel for the weekend.
There is a very well-organized chart on the web site where guests can view the entire weekend of programming details by artist, day, time and venue. An Order Form can also be found at the top of the web site, making selections a breeze. For details and ticket information, please visit the web site. Event tickets, packages and guest room accommodations can be purchased by calling the Jazz Line.
