A Roundup of Fall Happenings
Ahhh, the first day of fall! The foliage hasn’t turned orange yet and the days are still warm, but pumpkin spice is in the air and in our drinks. And although we can’t resist a classic pumpkin spice latte, seasonal squash-flavored goodies are not all we look forward to. Fall 2020 also brings about new socially-distanced activities and delightful, orange-and-reddish merch to decorate our homes with. Here’s a shortlist of Newport Beach’s coolest fall happenings.
If you’ve ever set foot here, you must already know just how important details are to the folks behind this beloved garden center. For an entire month, whenever Halloween rolls around, they transform the space into a playground for fright fiends. Take a wild adventure out to sea with this year’s theme, “A Pirate’s Life for Me”. Enter the world of pirates with themed treasures, surprises and frights to get you inspired for Halloween.
Every year since 2014, food and wine enthusiasts come out to attend Newport Beach Wine & Food Festival, one of the state’s most delicious, dynamic high-end food and wine events. The iconic Newport Beach Wine & Food Festival is shifting gears this year and will host its 7th year both virtually and CDC regulation approved private tastings and events between October 8th-11th.

Mark your calendars for the Environmental Nature Center’s Fall Faire which is going virtual this year! On October 18th, embark on a digital “Craft Crawl” and “Story Walk”, play virtual nature games, and watch performances on the “Fire Circle Stage”. Purchase a “Fall Faire To-Go” bag and receive a pumpkin, fall goodies and recipes, an ENC bandana, native plant seeds, a nature tattoo, a children’s nature story, and materials to create a fall themed craft!
