5 September Events to Add to Your Calendar
September is here, which means it’s time to gear up for fall! Aside from Labor Day weekend and the start of football season, there’s so much to be excited about. And whether you’re local to Newport Beach or visiting, there are plenty of events to add to your calendar this month. From live music at VEA Newport Beach to three-day weekend festivities at Newport Dunes, these five happenings are sure to liven up your fall.
Live Music at VEA Newport Beach
VEA Newport Beach opened its doors this summer and is now featuring live music! This refreshed property offers an escape in the center of it all, and you won’t want to miss the tunes at VIEW Restaurant & Lounge. On Fridays and Saturdays from 7-10 p.m., talented singer-songwriter artists will perform, so grab a drink and savor a salty sea breeze as you take in the buzzy atmosphere of this new hotel.
Endless Summer at Lido Marina Village
Join Lido Marina Village for an Endless Summer on Saturday, Sept. 17 and Sunday, Sept. 18, from 2-7 p.m. As the September sun sets over the harbor, guests can enjoy live music by Cali Conscious, a surf reggae rock band, and The Fabulous Yachtsmen, an Australian yacht rock band, on the Lido Deck. Food and beverages will be available for purchase, and Tap Truck OC will be the bartenders at Endless Summer, serving up local brews and regional wines.
Labor Day Weekend at Newport Dunes
Celebrate Labor Day weekend with some family fun at Newport Dunes! Enjoy everything from food trucks and live entertainment to an inflatable water park for the kids. Your little ones will love the climbable icebergs, 17-foot slide and trampolines. Let your kids play while you enjoy rock ‘n roll by The Dreamboats on Saturday, Sept. 3, and a full bar with cocktails, beer and wine. You can even reserve a private waterfront cabana for the ultimate shoreside VIP experience!
Hatch Chili Live Roasting at Bristol Farms
On Sept. 3, Bristol Farms is hosting its annual HATCH Chile Festival, offering fresh HATCH Chilies, a variety of HATCH grocery items and HATCH-flavored meats and seafood. A live roasting event will even take place outside the Newport Beach location. Customers can purchase a 25-pound box of chilies to be roasted to perfection by the master roasters. Don’t miss out on this festive event!
Halloween Boutique at Roger’s Gardens
Get in the mood for spooky season with a trip to Roger’s Gardens in the heart of Corona del Mar. On Friday, Sept. 2, this garden oasis will open its annual Halloween Boutique, where visitors can shop a diverse collection of festive decor.
