35th Annual Corona del Mar Christmas Walk

December 6, 2013

Looking for some lively Christmas fun to jazz up the holiday season? Look no further. This Sunday, December 8th, the Corona del Mar Chamber of Commerce is hosting a festive event that has become a community favorite over the years: The 35th Annual Corona del Mar Christmas Walk!

As someone who makes weekend window shopping a frequent occurrence, I find the CdM Christmas Walk particularly appealing because it combines a lot of my favorite things: live music, food and wine, and shopping. Signature bands (Pinch Me, Newport Beat, and Flashback Heart Attack to name only a few) will bestow their musical stylings upon the town throughout the day. Sit down, sip and relax at the beer and wine garden located in Bandera’s lower parking lot, then move on to El Ranchito, the Bungalow, or any of the other restaurants in the area offering tastes and samples. All while perusing some of the quaint boutiques and shops that Corona del Mar is known for. And what better way to do your holiday shopping than with food, beverages and live music while you mosey.

For a festive event that the entire family can enjoy, the CdM Christmas Walk is the perfect spot for you and your loved ones. In addition to all the food and fun, Santa Claus himself will be making an appearance, along with other holiday characters to visit with kids throughout the day. Bouncy houses and petting zoos will entertain the kids as you pop in and out of your favorite stores. Be sure to visit the unique vendor exhibits that will be set up in the vendor faire at the center stage.

If at the end of your walk you are seeking a hearty meal (be it a late lunch or early dinner) to round up the day’s festivities, take advantage of the Fireman’s Grill BBQ specials, provided by the Newport Beach Fire Department.

The Walk is a free event and will take place from 11:00am – 4:00pm. Don’t miss out on one of Newport Beach’s most beloved holiday and community traditions.
