Spring Forward in Newport Beach!

Every spring we move the clocks ahead one hour, giving us more daylight in the evening. Here are some ways to take advantage of that extra sunshine right here in Newport Beach!

Crystal CoveTake a stroll: Get outside with Mother Nature and take a hike or walk at one of the many trails throughout Newport Beach. The diverse terrain and scenic landscape offer a challenging workout to hikers of all levels, as well as an opportunity to connect with nature. Trails at the Back Bay or Crystal Cove are the perfect length to make full use of that extra sun. Or if you prefer a casual pace, walk along the boardwalk or shore down at the peninsula!

Get a “Green Thumb”: Springtime means flowers are beginning to bloom! At Roger’s Gardens, you can celebrate the arrival of spring with some of their special events. Experience a weekend of natural beauty with artistic floral displays, special events and seminars. You might just be inspired to create your own potted plant or treasure to take home. The Spring Celebration takes place March 24-26 from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Happy Hour Golden Hour: Gather up your friends for happy hour during the new “Golden Hour”! With happy hour hopping around Newport Beach, you can venture through the various neighborhoods, trying an assortment of food and beverages. Be sure to use the Happy Hour Dining Guide to chart your course.

Enjoy the Sunset: With the time change, you know have plenty of time to actually experience some of our finest sunsets in the spring. There are plenty of perfect locations throughout Newport Beach to enjoy a sunset. Stop by Inspiration Point in Corona del Mar to see the sun set on the whole harbor and peninsula. Or make the trip over to The Resort at Pelican Hill, where you can capture some of the best vistas of the coast and the sun setting over the Pacific.
