The scenic Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort and Marina in Newport Beach will be the place to be this 4th of July as it hosts its inaugural Newport Beach Independence Day on the Bay Two-Day Celebration of America featuring iconic girl-rock band The Bangles.
This two-day festival will feature live performances by top tribute bands including Led Zeppagain, Steely Jam, Knyght Ryder, Urban Dread and Blackstar, as well as a gourmet food truck competition, aquatic park activities, and the biggest fireworks display being held along the southern California coast.
The Dunes gates open at 7:00AM and the music festival will begin on Wednesday, July 4 at 12:00 PM and will conclude with fireworks at 9:00 PM. On Thursday, July 5, the music festival will resume at 3:00PM, featuring more than 12 food trucks, with the last band ending at 9:00 PM.
Admission to the park on Wednesday is $60 per car and includes general admission for the concert area. VIP concert tickets are available for $75 per person and include VIP parking, drink tickets and food in a premium concert seating area. General admission concert tickets will be available for $10 per person each day. On Thursday, park general admission will be $25 per car including general admission for the concert area. For guests wishing to purchase a two-day car pass, the cost is $85 and includes general admission to the concert area both days. VIP tickets can be purchased by calling 949-729-3863.

Food Truck Wars
The trucks will be judged by a panel of six judges made up of chefs, community leaders and local business owners. The trucks will be graded on: area and personal appearance; presentation; appearance of entry; tenderness of entry; and flavor of entry overall.
