  • Brian Johnson and Barry Minniefield

On Thursday, December 17, members of the U.S. Women’s National Soccer team will serve as Grand Marshals for the Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade. Whitney Engen, Christen Press and Amy Rodriquez, all residents of Southern California, are excited to join the Newport Beach community as we “Seas the Holidays” for the 107th Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade.

Soccer fans and parade goers will have the chance to meet and greet our Grand Marshals before they board the lead boat to guide the parade through the Newport Harbor.

Join us to welcome the team at ExplorOcean, starting at 4:30 pm. Bring your cameras and capture a special moment with these all-star athletes.

To set the stage, the community will be treated to the sound of talented vocalists from Season 8 of The Voice. National Recording Artists Bay Brooks and Jacob Rummel will be joined by The Voice alumnae Brian Johnson and Barry Minniefield as they harmonize to bring holiday cheer to Newport Beach before the Boat Parade begins. And, as part of the American Dream Tour benefitting Teen Cancer America, the vocalists will lead the parade as Grand Marshals during the parade on Friday night.
Drawing millions of visitors annually, the Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade is the longest-running, lighted holiday boat parade in the nation and the largest harbor parade in California. Hosted by the Commodores Club of the Chamber of Commerce, the boat parade begins Wednesday, Dec. 16, and ends Sunday, Dec. 20, 2015, featuring approximately 100 festive boats and the theme “Seas the Holidays.” Follow us on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook and for more information, visit www.christmasboatparade.com.
