St. Patrick’s Day in Newport Beach

There’s no better way to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day than at one of Newport Beach’s spirited pubs. Many of our pubs and bars go all out on St. Patrick’s Day to make sure bar-goers embrace Irish culture on the most shamrockin’ day of the year. Whether you are looking for traditional cuisine like corned beef and cabbage or you just want some green beer, Newport Beach has you covered!

Here are some spots where we know the luck o’ the Irish will be in full force:

A&O Kitchen + Bar
A&O Kitchen + Bar will be hosting a St. Patrick’s Day party that includes a live performance by “Van Dieman’s Band featuring Gilman Carver” from 6-9pm. They will also offer $3 pints of green draft beer beginning at 4pm until the kegs are gone, along with $5 green cocktails and Irish-inspired food specials. You don’t need to be Irish to come join the fun. No reservations required. Come one, come all.

Muldoon’s Irish Pub
Kick off your morning with the crowd-pleasing Early Irishman breakfast menu. Sip on Irish coffees and fill up on eggs with Irish bangers, fresh baked Irish soda bread and more. Stay through the afternoon and evening and you’ll enjoy live bands that will keep the party rockin’ through the night. The St. Patrick’s Day menu includes their award-winning Fish & Chips, Irish stew, Shepherd’s Pie, Homemade Corned Beef with Braised Cabbage, and many other Pub specialties. There is no cover charge to get in, so go in and enjoy the festivities!

Shamrock Bar & Grill
This hole-in-the-wall bar located on Pacific Coast Highway boasts authentic Irish brews and friendly Irish bartenders. The pub is home to a lively atmosphere and true Irish feel – an overall good time! If you’re looking for a place where you can have a few beers with friends and listen to some good music, this quintessential pub is the place for you on St. Patrick’s Day.

Malarky’s Irish Pub
Malarky’s has established a reputation over the years as a center for socializing, dining, and enjoying a drink or two amongst friends. Their motto, “There are no strangers here, only friends you’ve not yet met.”, couldn’t be more spot on. At Malarky’s you’re guaranteed to run into old friends and will definitely make some new ones during your visit. Sit back with a cold beer and enjoy one of Malarky’s many Irish classics as you celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.

Newport Beach Brewing Company
“Brew Co.,” as locals call it, is a happening bar that will be serving Green Beer & Irish Car Bombs! Their St. Patrick’s Day menu also includes traditional Irish Corn Beef Sandwiches and Corn Beef Lunches and Dinners. Irish Bag Pipe Player are known be strolling by Cannery Village during the day and night! Known to locals as the spot for a variety of quality beers and a lively crowd, Brew Co. is sure to draw fun groups out to celebrate St. Paddy’s.

Rudy’s Pub & Grill
A hotspot for locals that’s known for its rowdy, enthusiastic crowds, Rudy’s has become a place where you can come relax with old friends and leave having made new ones. Transplants from all around the U.S. hit this local bar and eatery, making for fun surroundings and friendly conversations. With plenty of high-tops and lower dining tables and a menu that is refreshed and reasonable, it’s a no brainer that Rudy’s should be one of your St. Patrick’s Day bar stops.
