With spring in bloom, now is the perfect time to experience all of the outdoor art Newport Beach offers.

Civic Center Park displays a wide collection of outdoor sculptures. ”Sculpture in the Civic Center Park” currently displays 10 artworks you can enjoy while strolling through the ocean-view park. The exhibit will be adding an additional 10 sculptures in the fall of 2015. There is even a self-guided tour on the MyNB app curated by the City of Newport Beach Arts Commission.

One of Orange County’s best art collections, both indoor and outdoor, is here in Newport Beach at the Orange County Museum of Art (OCMA). Wandering the grounds, you can get a taste for the incredible works this OC treasure has to offer, such as Floating Lady by Tony DeLap. Do not forget to see OCMA’s incredible indoor exhibitions as well!

As the days get longer, performing art moves outdoors in some of Newport Beach’s great, free summer traditions.

The 51st Annual Art Exhibition, June 13 at the Civic Center, gives artists and art lovers a chance to interact, surrounded by over 200 pieces of art.

Concerts on the Green take place once a month June through September at the Civic Center. Genres across the spectrum will be represented, from soul to bluegrass, country to Beatles tribute.

Shakespeare by the Sea at the Bonita Canyon Sports Park will feature As You Like It and The Tempest at this year’s festival July 18-19.

Keep your eyes open as you explore Newport Beach for art displayed throughout the city, like the McFadden Square Centennial Legacy Project at the base of the Newport Pier.
