Newport Beach Parasailing

Up and Up and Away in Newport Beach

Perhaps you were running on the treadmill at the gym, or maybe you were just settling in with the paper and your coffee beside the cat when Fox 11 broadcasted live from Newport Beach this morning.

Reporter, and Jill-of-all-trades, Mar Yvette came to Newport Beach to show the Good Day L.A. audience about Indian Summers and plenty to do in this oasis of activity.

Her first live shot featured ExplorOcean and the Fun Zone. We have mentioned Burt the mechanical bull shark before on this blog, but Mar hopped on and handled the shark’s shaking and shimmying.

Mar and her crew took to the water with the folks from Balboa Boat Rentals and Balboa Parasail for an adventure on the Pacific.

Joining Mar was Visit Newport Beach Concierge guru Sarah Marshall to get a bird’s eye view of the Newport Beach Coastline, while talking about all of the activities to do in Newport Beach.

Sarah is an expert on Newport Beach. If it’s happening here, She knows about it.

Some people were not aware that there was parasailing in Newport Beach.

Sure, Newport Beach is great to come and relax on the sand and soak up some rays or ride the waves.

But there’s so much more to do here. The water activities in Newport Beach include Duffy boating, sailing, kayaking, paddleboarding, fishing, and whale watching.

For those who want to come to Newport Beach, parasailing can be done from two altitudes — 600 feet and 800 feet flights.

Up to three people can go at a time, and the rates run about $65 a person for 600’ flights and $75 for 800’ flights.

Non-flying passengers are $20.

If you didn’t get a chance to see Mar and Sarah’s adventure on Good Day L.A. on Fox 11 here in Los Angeles, you can click here to watch video of their morning parasailing adventure.

There’s so much to do in Newport Beach. We welcome you to come and explore what we have to offer from luxury hotels and boutique inns to dining of all types, and a menu of water and land activities outdoor enthusiasts will certainly enjoy.
