July 25, 2017

Summertime in Newport Beach is a never-ending paradise. Waking up to the blissful sound of the ocean waves, cool breeze in your hair, and beautiful sunsets right in your own backyard is like a vacation all in itself. For moms, as we reach the end of summer reality hits, the reality of “back-to-school” season.

Long-awaited by some, yet dreaded by most, back-to-school is around the corner for both mom and the kids. For moms especially, this week can be somewhat of a stressful one. From school supplies shopping to scheduling drop-offs and pick-ups with other parents, it almost seems like there’s truly not enough time to prepare. Every year you have this idea that it will be different and you’re continuously trying to commit to planning ahead of time. Because back-to-school always has its way of creeping back up on you, here’s a survival guide to get a little “me” time in and to also help you distress during the first chaotic week:

Breakfast with friends/moms: Planning time with friends is not only a great distraction from back-to-school week, but also a great way to enjoy the company of other moms! Newport Beach is home to some of the tastiest breakfast spots with some of the most incredible views. After dropping the kids off, head on over to some of these breakfast options:
